Remove the muffler. |

| To remove the cosmetic pieces I drilled the rivet out. I replaced the rivet with a nut and bolt. The bolt was welded onto the bracket that the rivet was originally attached to. You can see this in step 9. I actually removed the cosmetic pieces while the muffler was still on the bike. It gave me the leverage to unscrew the "one-way" screws. |  |
